Retirement Living, But Not as You Know It

We are proud to be involved with furnishing the latest development from Pegasus Life; Wildernesse House. This stunning collection of homes for the over sixties is based on the Historic Wildernesse Estate and will offer luxury living and a new lifestyle for its occupants.

Wildernesse Estate is in Sevenoaks, Kent and is steeped in history. First known mention of the estate in historical records was in 1327, then named ‘Stidulfe’s Place’. The row of Spanish chestnut trees that line the driveway were planted in 1509 to commemorate Henry VIII’s marriage to Catherine of Aragon and the lime trees along the boundary of the grounds were planted to celebrate a visit from the Duke of Wellington in 1815. During the second world war the house was used as a convalescent hospital for soldiers returning from the front line. The estate is now entering a whole new chapter, as luxury retirement living by Pegasus Life.

Wildernesse House, currently under development, will be made up of a number of apartments and mews houses. Much more than simply a collection of homes, the estate offers communal areas including lounges, a spa, a restaurant and guest accommodation, all designed to bring people together.

 

The Main House Apartments

Within the main house there are 19 one and two bedroom apartments. They have been designed to be offer a spacious and luxurious feel, with open plan living and no expense spared with regards to specification.
 
At Lamco Design, we are playing an integral part in fitting out the rooms within the apartments and mews houses of Wildernesse House. We have designed bespoke fitted wardrobes to compliment the surroundings and fit perfectly into the space on offer. With precision craftsmanship and the use of only top quality materials the level of finish of the furniture is second to none. This project is part of the Lamco trade contracts department, where we offer bespoke fitted furniture and pieces from MisuraEmme and Jesse Italian furniture for new developments across the South.

 

The Mews Houses

These newly built mews houses tie in perfectly with the character of the estate. The bedrooms feature adjoining dressing rooms that are being fitted out with Lamco bespoke fitted furniture.
