Martyn is responsible for the day to day running of the operation. He mainly deals with the larger scale commercial projects. He is committed and passionate about delivering total value for money, with the highest quality products. No mater how tight the budget, the fundamental elements are never compromised. With 85 % of work being repeat business. Martyn’s main focus is to build trusting and lasting relationships with his repeat clients.
Martyn always takes the time to reach a careful understanding of what the customer is aiming to achieve, then proposing finishes, materials & design ideas. The overall concept will consider many factors including the style, functionality and budget. Martyn and the design team consider themselves very lucky to be have built a large customer base and to be involved with designing and curating some of the most exquisite bespoke furniture pieces within some of the most prestigious homes in and around London, the south coast of the UK, the Channel Islands and abroad.
Danny WeeksDirector & Workshop ManagerRead BioDanny is Lamco’s founder. In 1975 his pioneering use of the new laminate material became the basis for our name; the Laminate Company, or ‘Lamco’.
Danny learnt and perfected the ‘old school’ joiners craft, and with this skill he strove to create unique and top-quality bespoke furniture. His love of innovation has driven a tireless pursuit of remaining at the forefront of modern trends. Danny’s original vision of using the very latest materials and trialling more effective ways of manufacturing furniture is still realised in the company today. Since 1975 Lamco has grown and evolved into one of the leading high-end bespoke furniture manufactures in the South. Furniture and the company name of Lamco is a religion to Danny. He lives and breaths furniture. It’s a way of life for him that spans decades.
Out of work Danny is a keen gardener and loves looking after his grandchildren.
Natalia MaslankaDesignerRead BioNatalia is one of our in-house interior designers. She has many years experience including working for and curating projects and designs for several large well-known high street brands. Natalia’s background has been as an interior designer within the commercial sector. Since then she has gone on to focus on interior design for high-end residential properties. She has built up a huge amount of knowledge throughout her career, both in designing and understanding manufacturing processes.
Natalia always listens carefully to a customer’s brief and always delivers exactly what each individual customer is looking for. She takes each project to heart. She always watches the project go through the factory at the various stages to carefully oversee every aspect has been taken into consideration and carried out to her and the client’s standards and expectations.
Rebecca StoneDesignerRead BioRebecca is a highly experienced interior designer in her own right . She previously learnt her craft and excelled as an interior designer within one of the south’s leading interior architecture practices. She brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding of room layouts and space planning. She is a master in new build projects and multi room designs. She will make everything seamlessly fit and flow within the house.
Rebecca is always pushing our innovation within her designs, both with hardware and the manufacturing processes. Rebecca is someone who very passionate about her projects and takes her designs very personally. She has spent the last few years with us really getting to know and understand the manufacturing process. If she is not at her desk in the showroom, she is most probably found on the factory floor watching and making sure every detail is executed in the factory by the guys.

Pete DudikWorkshop Forman / Technical Manager & ProgrammerRead BioPete is an highly skilled joiner, and is also our go-to tech-guy. He is responsible for the setting up and programming of our machinery. Pete also creates technical drawings for manufacturing and assembling processes, helping us to produce incredibly accurate joinery pieces. Pete is also actively involved with our R&D, testing many new materials coming to the market. He works hard to spot any weakness in a new material and to discover where we can improve our processes and products.
Outside of work Pete is very much into computers and technology. His spare time has since dwindled but he’s enjoying being a new dad to his son.
Andy SmithWorkshop & Scheduling ManagerRead BioAndy is an ‘old school’ joiner with a real talent, working on our most intricate of projects. He has been a key member of the Lamco team for many years. Andy oversees the new jobs coming into the workshop for production. He orders the materials required for each job and produces detailed cutting sheets for the saw-men and assembly team. Overseeing quality control, Andy thoroughly scrutinises each piece of furniture to ensure that it meets our very highest of standards.
Out of work he is a keen golfer and enjoys looking after his grandchildren.
Wendy JamesAdmin & AccountsRead BioWendy is the back bone of the entire Lamco operation! She has worked with us for 10 years and is a real joy to have on our team. Wendy manages the finances at Lamco, as well as manning the reception in our showroom and making the majority of the bookings and appointments for our design team.
Shakil MiaLead MachinistRead BioShakel works in our factory, he is at the start of the production line for any bespoke unit. He is our main saw-man who just loves to use the big machines! Shakel carefully chooses the best and most efficient way to cut each piece to 0.1mm accuracy, ready for the assembly team to then take over. Shakil is a considerate team member who loves working with our close-knit factory team.
Outside of work Shakil is very much into new technology. He is a proud father to his daughter.
Dave BallBench JoinerRead BioDave is a workhorse. He is always the first man opening up in the morning and one of the last to leave. He enjoys the pressure of an intense workload. He also enjoys the more intricate aspects of the builds. This is no surprise as he learnt his craft as was one of the lead cabinet builders for Sunseeker Boats. He a real joy within the factory and usually has a cup of tea constantly on his bench.
Interesting fact about Dave – He is obsessed with all things Christmas!
Scott BusbyBench JoinerRead BioScott is a very methodical joiner. He takes time and takes real care in everything he does. He will throughly check that every component is right and with the job when it’s finally handed over to the installation team. Scott learnt his craft with a leading London based furniture manufacture and has brought some different skills to the bench team.
Outside of work Scott is getting into Yoga and wild swimming. He is a loving dad to his children. He is also enjoying relocating to the seaside.
Alex FinnemoreBench JoinerRead BioAlex joined us from a large joinery manufacturer. Alex was mainly responsible for leading his team in high-end shop refits. He brings a wealth of knowledge from the veneering and solid wood background. He is used to working on very large sized projects, all with very tight deadlines. He thrives under pressure and is always meticulous to detail. He is a real credit to our diverse team of joiners.
Richard FryRefinish & Quality Control ManagerRead BioRichard is a pure perfectionist. He has a very discerning eye for detail. He has worked within the industry his whole life. He last worked for a very high-end, bespoke, kitchen manufacturer and was their real wood veneer technician and refinisher for many years. He brings a new dynamic in refinishing and quality control. He is mainly responsible for managing the paint and refinishing shop. He has close contact with the bench joiners and machine shop and manages the flow and workload as its goes through the stages within the factory. He coordinates the refinishing, veneering and real wood aspects within a particular project.
Out of work Richard is busy building in his own workshop and was a keen surfer in his younger days!
Bill DarbyLogistics & Transport ManagerRead BioBill is one of the most passionate and driven guys within the team. He has a real desire professionalism and customer satisfaction. Bill is mainly responsible for the delivery of the furniture to sites and private homes. He works closely with the installation team and the clients upon delivery. He is meticulous about protecting clients homes upon delivery and installation, with dust sheeting the entire area as well as laying polythene sheets and extractors.
Bill has been faced with many challenges within his time at Lamco. From organising cranes, road closures and central London deliveries. Bill is an incredibly versatile member of the team who also helps out in the factory. He is a hugely valued member of the team.
Outside of work Bill is a keen walker and lover of his dogs.
Chris RintoulHead Commercial InstallerRead BioChis has been with Lamco for many years. Chris previously worked for another wardrobe company and wanted to experience a more comfortable and secure work environment. He also wanted to fulfill a greater personal work satisfaction with installing higher quality furniture than previously. He is passionate about doing the job right and will take as much time as he needs to achieve this. He is a perfectionist and a very trusted member of the installation team.
Out of work Chris is busy renovating his house.
Keith FugattHead Residential InstallerRead BioKeith (the old man) is hugely respected within the industry. He has been installing very high-end furniture his whole working life. He has seen it all, New and old trends come and go. He previously worked as the head installer for a very respected, high-end kitchen and bedroom company. He brings a huge wealth of knowledge and experience to the team. He is a real old school joiner who also embraces new technology.
Out of work Kieth is a keen golfer.
Ian RobertsLead MachinestRead BioIan has over 35 years experience in the industry and is a highly skilled machinest. Previously having run his own company, he now enjoys the shorter hours of employed life. Outside of work he is a keen motorbiker.
