A new home in the Purbeck Hills

This stunning new property is nestled in the heart of the Purbeck hills in Dorset. We were commissioned to manufacture and install everything from bespoke personalised children bedrooms to formal lounge units, bespoke wall paneling, office furniture, bathroom furniture, fitted wardrobes and more.

Inspiring imagination & creativity

The most exciting aspect of this project was creating the one-of-a-kind children’s bedrooms. These rooms became the most talked about within the house.

The client and interior designer requested soft muted tones for the interior of the property so as not to overpower the beautiful vast views across the Purbeck Hills. We selected predominately washed oaks and matt lacquers for the majority of the joinery throughout the house. The washed oak was a bespoke formulation we created in-house. This was then sealed with our high-end PU lacquer to protect the finish from the environment and general wear and tear. We carefully selected finishes and fixtures that would stand up to a lifetime of work the young family would exert on the furniture.

Bespoke Wall Panelling

The greatest challenge was the bespoke wall paneling within the grand hallway. These were specially laid up venner panels that we then laser-cut V groove lines in to produce a seamless V groove pattern. All of the panels were manufactured off site in our factory and stained and lacquered in our paint shop. All then delivered to site, fitted and lined up with absolute perfection. The other side was finished using a bespoke Farrow & Ball matt lacquer with inset LED lighting.

This was a fantastic and diverse project that the Lamco team all relished in doing for this lovely family.
